Ok so I am constantly trying to convince people who have not worked as a server that 20% is an average tip now...not 10%. So as I was glancing through Yahoo News, I came across an article about tipping.
"Most of us agree that 20 percent (or close to it) is the
standard amount to leave on a restaurant check"
So to my mother...there is proof just for you. 20 is the new 10.
